I'm a power jumper, love this rope, able to do rope turns and many Ropesport moves (google Ropesport for DVDs teaching you how to jump like you've never jumped before)...only complaint is that the rope wears out, that's why I'm buying two at a time now...I'm hard on my rope, so I guess it's a sign of fitness that the rope gives out before I do...but wish it lasted longer. Highly recommended .. both the product, and the exercise, 55 yo and never felt better...with right music I can keep jumping for an hour. ...more

Leather is always better, but this rope works fine IF you make sure the weights are BENEATH the springs in the handle. I had the same tangling problem because I had removed the weights and put one of them on top of the spring, which is incorrect.
